Please email me to confirm the times. If you don’t confirm I will assume you are not coming and you will not have a lesson.

Theory lesson will be this Saturday from 2 until 4. After 4 I will be busy riding if students would like to attend they are more than welcome to be dropped off. There is no charge for theory days and this month it will tack cleaning and parts of the tack..  Once theory is over I will be busy training.

As promised I brought Flashy home on Saturday. Right now she is a mess to say the least. She needs some groceries and definetly needs some real TLC. She will have the week to settle in and if everything goes well - she will start lunging next week. I am going to post some before pictures and then in a month or two we can check out the after pictures. It won’t take long before she starts to put some weight on and looking good. See below for pics. I took them today before we did anything to her.

I am sure everyone is eager to find out how Fuzz made out. She did very well. This was her first show ever and she was a star except for Sunday where she decided to be a brat.

Her first class she placed 4th which was Hunter Under Saddle, her second class which was Hunt Seat Equitation (pattern) she had 3 5ths and 1 4th. There were 4 judges in total per class.  Her third class was trail and also my first time doing trail. She had 3 5ths and 1 4th which is pretty good considering she spooked at the judges and didn’t want to go anywhere near them.

On Sunday we were on 2 classes. Western Pleasure Junior Horse and Western Pleasure BC bred and owned. In Junior Horse we did not place and we received 5th. Sunday was not as good as Saturday but not bad considering we were against top trainers in the Paint Circuit from all over the US.

All in all the show was long and we were all tired and we are happy to be home. Below are the few pictures I took myself and I will post the rest when I get them from everyone else.

As you may know I am heading to the Paint O Rama in Chilliwack with Fuzz for the weekend. Anyone who wishs to reschedule their lesson for the weekend to a weekday evening, please contact me. Currently I have Monday April 23rd 4,5,or 6 open and Wednesday April 25th 4 or 5.

I will be getting ready for the show that Thursday evening and Friday morning and I am leaving Friday  8 am. and will not be back until Sunday late in the evening.

Anyone who is leasing a horse or will be  at the barn. Please do everything as if I were there. Cathy and the girls at the barn will be taking care of my horses. If you have any questions, please ask Cathy. In case of an emergency please call my cell 604-773-0297 - I may not be able to answer right away as I am in classes all day Saturday and Sunday but I will check my messages in between classes.

And students, make sure you do everything SAFELY!!!!!

From now on I will taking Monday evenings and Wednesday evenings off. I will not be riding and will simply be at the barn those days to do the chores.

The reason for this is I will be having business meetings on both these evenings every week from now until ablivion!

All students are encouraged to show this year. This gives everyone an idea of where we are and what we need to improve on.

If students would like to show:

They must be prepared to get their own horse ready for show. This includes staying for the complete day before the show, staying at the show for the day ( we won’t be leaving right after your classes!) and putting your own horse back after that show. You will be required to clean your own tack, etc… to prepare for the show. This may also require you to spend the day learning about getting ready for the show. (Theory Day)

There will be a small fee of $40 for shows you will be attending and that will include hauling your horse to the show and coaching for the day. But please be aware parents will be required, as I too am in some classes.
