Well it totally downpoured all day and gave me no time to ride, unfortunately. When the rain actually subsided I ventured out with Winger to do a mini lunge lesson. I believe I mentioned before that he didn’t really lunge.

Well what we did today was hold him with a lead rope and a dressage whip at his should while on the ground and tap the whip on his shoulder until it began annoying. It took for ever I must say and with a little more pressure from my thub he got the hint and step his body over. Once his body has stepped over, I stopped taping and rewarded him. We did this on both sides and after that I oushed him out a little and asked him to go like lungeing but a really small circle. He started to get the idea and we having him reacting to the cues I praised him and we finished our lesson.

So, all in all it was great and despite the rain we managed to get Winger out and some training done.
