November 28th - Nobody Ridden

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Well it is getting close to the end of the month. Thank goodness. There is a lot of news at Hylee Training. But first I will review the past days I haven’t posted.

Saturday… Brittany rescheduled her lesson and nobody got ridden.

Sunday I made my way to Aldergrove for a coaching seminar. That was cancelled but, noone told me. So, I drove all the way in the snow storm for nothing. Cassia came up lame.

Monday was snowy. So noone again got ridden but Fuzz and Ellie both got out for a good run!

Tuesday…. Can you saying artic storm? It was so cold and the wonderful snow in the ring was frozen and to hard to ride.

Wednesday… Hay is coming in the AM and hopefully it warms up long enough to ride at least Fuzz.

Oh and we are proud to present our next member of Hylee Training’s family Vintage Label.

Or Vinnie! He is coming on Tuesday!

November 24th - Winger Cassia

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

Winger got a good hard work out today, and showed improvement getting his hindquarters underneath himself. Cassia was worked for a short period today, just mainly to get her out and moving. Tomorrow Winger has a lesson with Brittany and both Cassia and Fuzz will be lunged. Or at least that is the plan.

November 21st - Everyone’s day off

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Well today was everyone’s day off including me.

Sunday Winger had an awesome lesson with Melissa and worked really hard as did we. And we also took the time to do a video. The view can be viewed: http://www.hyleetraining.gvrdhorsedirectory.com/winger.html

And also Cassia and I had our lesson with Allison. Which went very well. Both Cassia and I are showing great improvement.  There will also be a video of some of our lesson available soon.

On Monday Fuzz and I travelled to Twin Creek Ranch in Aldergrove. For our first night of Introduction to Cow Play which is more of an introduction to cattle penning. Last night was alot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone, who was loking for something fun to with their horse no matter what level or discipline. It is just a fun thing to do with your horse.

And again on Sunday this week I will travelling to Twin Creek. For the “Learn to Teach Seminar” but on by Maureen. This is a requirement in obtaining your coach and I am working hard to obtain that as soon as possible!

Tommorow I am going to be heading to the barn in the morning to work both Winger and Cassia. So I will talk to everyone afterwards!

Not getting any bit caught up.

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

As you can see the website is not getting completed and very little riding is getting done due to this horrible weather. I did however manage to ride Fuzz shortly and give Christie a lesson on Winger today. He was very good and I was really impressed with him.

Tommorow Winger has another lesson with Melissa and then I am off to Greystone with Cassia.

A little behind

Friday, November 17th, 2006

Ok so this week has been extremely busy for me and I have, yes fallen behind. So to catch up, Monday was my day off. Tuesday I rode Winger over a few fences and it went well. But, I wasn’t feeling to well so, it was short and sweet.

Wednesday, it poured rain and I didn’t get anyone worked. Everyone stayed in.

Thursday, which is today..

My new jumps arrived and I rode Cassia for a video, for my own personal use. Basically so I can see what I am doing and what she is doing. Besides doing chores and riding and jumps and video, it was the end of the day. Oh I also spend some time fixing some parts of the barn.

Tommorow everyone is gettng worked, hopefully and as long as it doesn’t rain!

Nov 12th - Cassia

Monday, November 13th, 2006

Winger and Fuzz both got the day off. It was a well deserved day off too.Cassia and I attended our first lesson with Alison at Greystone and had a great time. I was extremely impressed with my 20 yrd old Mare. And I was so impressed we are going back next week and will not be heading to Pony Pals.

Although Winger may still be going. And of course I will make sure to post updates.

I have promised myself this week I will be riding both Cassia and Fuzz more to keep them in shape. Cassia was a little out of shape today at our lesson and to prepare for the Beth Underhill clinic coming up, we had better get it together.

Tommorow I am taking the day off from the barn besides feeding and the regular chores and therefore will not be posting.

See us at Pony Pals

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

Come see us at Pony Pals Schooling Show! We will be attending unless something major happens between now and then. Cassia and I will be going as will Winger and Melissa.

Hope to C U There!

Nov 11 - Winger and Fuzz

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

Today I gave Melissa (Winger’s owner) a lesson on him which went very well, I was incredibly happy with Winger. And it was great to see some major improvements with him over the past 15 days or so. Today he was put over a couple of cross rails and did very well. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do a full course as all of our jumps have not arrived.

But the good news is that they will be arriving Tuesday, thanks to my wonderful father!

I also rode Fuzz and she was great. I am going to try and get a few rides on her next week to get her freshed up as she really needs to get a good workout as she happens to be a little piggy and eats everything in sight. So for her not to get too fat, she needs to be worked.

here is a photo from today, take graciously by http://www.paradoxicalpproductions.com of me and my reining mare Fuzz.

Nov 10th - Winger

Saturday, November 11th, 2006

I gave my two girls the day off again. It always seems my horses get the shaft. Winger was worked in the round pen today is definetly getting better at keeping going and getting under himself. And of course balance. Tommorow he will be ridden by my niece so, we will see how well he does with beginners. This will give me a chance to ride my horses. Hopefully its not too rainy.

Keep you updated
